More About Kirti Lokhande
The photography journey of one of the country’s very few women industrial photographers began when Kirti was engaged in a different kind of craft – designing masterpieces in the physical world as an ace interior designer. In the backdrop, a love for photography simmered on and gnawed away at her heart. She finally gave in to her calling and took the deserved plunge to photography three years into her design career.
But with a keen eye for both the big picture and the detail, and a two-year master-craftsman photography course at the Shari Academy, the transition couldn’t be smoother.
The secret to her resounding success has been a vision that exceeds merely picture-taking. She makes images with a purpose – the purpose of furthering the renown of the brand, product, service or space she’s serving, executing an assignment only after scrupulously studying the brand’s identity, voice and position, and evaluating the context and the purpose of a campaign. It is her conviction that every piece of communication must be consonant with the overall brand message. And every image matters to that end. With a dogged passion for perfection, she uses only the best equipment. Her photography gear includes predominately Nikon cameras and exclusively Carl Zeiss lenses. She also shoots on medium and large-format cameras when warranted.
She accepts assignments from across the world, offering a complete package to meet the ever-growing demands of commercial photography. And in the rare moments, she finds to catch her breath, you’ll find her nursing dreams in R, G, B to set free to the wondrous world.
